Lunyu VI. 27. (147)

The happy effect of learning and propriety combined.
The Master said, "The superior man, extensively studying all learning, and keeping himself under the restraint of the rules of propriety, may thus likewise not overstep what is right."

Legge VI.25.

The Master said, 'The gentleman widely versed in culture but brought back to essentials by the rites can, I suppose, be relied upon not to turn against what he stood for.'

Le Maître dit : « L'homme honorable étend ses connaissances par les livres, et les ordonne grâce aux rites ; il parvient ainsi à ne rien trahir. »

Couvreur VI.25.

27. Nabi bersabda, "Seorang Junzi meluaskan pengetahuannya dengan mempelajari Kitab-kitab dan membatasi diri dengan Kesusilaan. Dengan demikian ia tidak sampai melanggar Kebajikan".
